Just a heads up to you Bobby, this is really not a very good kit. I remember building it in the early 80ies, and it is more of a toy, and not very accurate (the turret is under-scaled, the wheels are overscaled etc....)
Just thought I would advise you on what could be a nightmare.

Bobby , this is a very early Tamiya kit (#03 ,I think),its motorized so the lower body is all squared up to fit the motor and batteries. Lots of over/under sized parts,as stated by others. I got mine in early 70s and had lots of fun adding stuff from parts box..Looks good but nowhere accurate .Needed something to go with Tam. Chieftain ( that's another story ..lol) So if you really want one ,get it ,but don't spend lots for it . By the way still have mine on shelf,,30 plus years and wheels still together. Oh yea , some of the early soft plastic tires cracked , all six on my AC are still good. Jim

Thank you guy's, I am familar with this kit as well and agree. Me and my brother broke ( accidently) my dads built kit about 30 years ago. Now my dad is wanting to rebuild it for fun, I am the computer literate one and the ( perpetrator ) lol. So now I'm on the hunt - Bobby

Accurate Armour is coming out with a resin 1/35 Saladin fairly soon. However, the price will not be inexpensive compared to many new plastic kits and most resin kits aren't recommended for beginners. But, I just wanted to mention this option anyway.

Ok, that is a possible option also. I wasn't aware of A.A. coming out with this kit. I will still keep eye out for tamiya kit. Thank you W.W. for the head's up. - Bobby

Firing Line also do one but again, it isn't cheap. Looks great though!

Wow, thanks guy's. Good info. Your not kidding, on the pricey side. I guess I'll just keep looking for an old tamiya kit to surface.
