I found this during a trip this past summer and I don't know what it is. So I thought I would share the pictures here and let everyone get a chance to look at them and maybe figure out what it is.

It looks like a WW I German 17cm Minenwerfer. Where is it located?

This webpage has a picture of one: WW I German 17cm Minenwerfer (just scroll down to the third set of pictures)

This one appears to have a shell "plugging" the barrel. I guess.

Cool, that was quick guys. I really appreciate the help, thank you.

This one is located in the city of Casper, Wyoming. I happened to come across it on my way home from a Colorado Rockies vs Arizona Diamondbacks baseball game in Denver, Colorado back in July of this year.

I need to remember to start looking around for parks near veterans clubs when I am traveling as they usually have something like this on display.

In addition to the shell in the barrel, this variant seems to have the Fornortner Rod in the median right quadrant. Very good photo of this type...rare.
