I am building a board game using military models, and I am looking for those shuffleboard-like pusher things that military planners use on tabletop maps to move pieces/ships/etc. Does anyone know what they are called, and also, where I can get them? I've called miniature distributors and craft shops, but no one seems to know. Does anyone here have any ideas?

Try a casino supply source. I think they use those at the craps tables.

Have you considered a length of dowel and a small piece of plywood?

I have considered making it myself, but I was hoping to get the original/professional kind. It does seem like I will have to make it, though, because craps sticks are just curved rods.
