This year's theme is "1939: The Dawn of War".
IPMS AMPSEast is the largest armor model show in the Northeast, featuring 80 vendor tables, 4 seminars, and our famous monster raffle along with the IPMS AMPS model show and contest!
Our 2008 annual armor extravaganza experienced a 40% increase in attendance over 2007 with 468 people through the doors and 254 entries displayed.
The show will be held Saturday, September 26th, 2009, at the Danbury Plaza Hotel and Conference Center, 18 Old Ridgebury Rd., Danbury CT 06810. For attendees and vendors staying at the hotel the Danbury Plaza is pleased to offer a special show room rate. To receive the special rate, please call 203-794-0600 and identify yourself as being with IPMS AMPSEast. You must make your reservation by August 26th, 2009.
As anyone who attended the 2007 or 2008 show will attest, the Danbury Plaza Hotel is a first class venue with outstanding amenities. It is also conveniently located one exit from the Danbury Fair Mall and the Military Museum of Southern New England.
We have also worked with the Military Museum of Southern New England to make the show weekend "Open Turret Weekend" at the museum featuring re-enactors and allowing you to climb inside many of the vehicles at the museum. Saturday at AMPS East and Sunday at the museum would make for the ultimate treadhead's dream weekend!

Hi Matt, sorry to say I won't be able to make to AMPSeast this year. One of those darn inconsiderate family occasions interfering again. It is amazing how often that happens. How does this show rate as for size and number of vendors compared to the Wayne PAL show in April ??

Less models (think only armor but more categories and more armor).

As it stands, John feels he'll be able to get free from work that week end.
(He really does needs a week end away from work!)

Doubt the Vegemite/Marmite will be done live, but I'm sure one or both of us are sure to do or say something stupid, insensitive, and totally politically incorrect.
