My name is Ron Baluch, and I am Grandpa's Cabinets. I build custom display cases to exactly what a customer model builder needs and wants using optical grade acrylic and solid hardwoods. I've been using red oak for the majority of my bases, but recently have gotten access to others, like walnut, maple etc. So, I will use whatever wood, stain it whatever color, and finish with whatever gloss the customer wants.
