I finally added a picture to a forum thread, took some time and a few mistakes but it worked, sort of. The image appears very small. I posted the photos from my comp to the photo gallery using jpg at 800 x 600 and 102kb. The images in the photo gallery when I checked the properties show them as being 150 x 113 - what is the best size to send them through to the photo gallery? without using to much of my allowable space.
Many thanks
Des.

Hi Des , for me the best size for posting pic's is 640 x 480 . I can get about 200 pic's in my gallery just with that sizes . Not to big and not small .
Not sure on way they are showing up so small in your post for . Some one with better computer skills then me will be able to guide you better on that .

Very simple answer.
You used the wrong code.
example:
you used the thumbs code here:
http://photos.kitmaker.net/data/500/thumbs/LVG1.jpg
http://gallery.kitmaker.net/data/500/LVG1.jpg
Notice that "thumbs" is not in this code.
solution---
click on the thumb photo to enlarge it, and use that photos properties,
to correct your post and get the larger photo, simply edit your post and delete the "thumbs/" from between the "/thumbs/LVG.1jpg---- leave one/ after 500/LVG.1jpg[/img]

Thanks Terri and Dave.
Your advice should make things a lot easier. I was only following the instructions given, there was no mention of deleting the "thumbs"from the address. I am only new to computers and all the terminology that is used gets very confusing at times, I think this applies to a lot of the new members who are also trying to post photos, anyhow, it's all sorted. Many thanks guys.
Cheers
