Hi!

While I was browsing hlj to get some more mr. surfacer spray, I noticed there's also clear coat sprays in the same product range. Are these as good stuff as the surfacers? Has anyone experience of these?

The Mr. Hobby super clear is for a super gloss coat for car kits. It is very good for that purpose.

HLJ had them clearly labelled as flat, semi-gloss and gloss, although it says so on the bottle as well. Sorry, I wasn't too clear in my question, I was wondering how flat is the flat coat.

The Mr. Hobby series of clear coat in rattle can and bottle are very good. I can only say, the clear flat is very flat. - Paul

The reason why I asked that was that I have bought clear flat sprays that didn't make that flat a coat afterall, some leaning towards semi-gloss, some even gloss...
