Hey all, I just have a couple questions really. My great uncle gave me a K-98 dress bayonet a few years ago. It is marked PAUL WEYERSBERG & CO SOLINGEN with the maker's mark sword. I have read about and seen knock-off engraved bayonets. My great uncle claims he picked up the bayonet in Bavaria during the war. It is engraved on both sides. The one depicts two Pz. Ausf 1s and an eagle standing upon a swastika. The other reads "Fur Erinnerung an Meine Dienstzeit" which, roughly translates "For Memories of my Service". Along with the bayonet he picked up a glossed black helmet (he still has) with SS markings. I am wondering if anyone has any idea about these things?
