Hey here is an idea, we need to get every tanker/former tanker to do a model as a representation of the vehicle they used to be on, and constantly talking about.

Thank you for the nice typings.
There arent that many after market parts, more like kitbashing.I took the searchlight from the M-48,it is much better than the one supplied with the A2.Also,I replaced the rear light housings with the ones from the M-48. And I used the sandshields from the rear of the 48 to go from the taillights to the rear fender.
I added screening for the bustle rack behind the turret.
i added 2 towcables,and the appropriate mounts.
I added an electricalcable from the turret roof to the searchlight.
i added 3 lifting eyes around the coupola.
Since the tanks in my unit added 2 more jerrycans,to be used to store engine and transmission oil,I added those to the loader' s side of the bustle rack.Theses were aftermarket,On The Mark jerrycan holders, and some Italeri jerrycans.
On the hull, the M-48 supplied the 2 raised periscope covers around the driver's hatch.
Also the M-48's fire extinguisher cover on the glasis was used.I added some small angle plastic, from the brush guards to the front slope. And every M-60 series tank crew quickly dded a 2 X 4 between the brush guards,so to avoid slipping and sliding down the slope onto the ground.
Both aircleaners were changed to the top loading type, and extra bolt heads from Grandline were added.
The travel lock for the gun was not used, and the holes in the back deck were filled. At the rear,on the rear fenders, the tie downs were sanded off, leaving a smooth fender.
At the very back,I recreated the CBSS "bulge' unique to the A2's,the Tamiya kit was based on a mock up or something,on the real tank, this was a modification to the hull casting.
The final aftermarket goodies were the AFV club track. These are the best to use,bar none.

I will post a few more pictures,after I add the duffle bags,and do the dull cote.. (++) (++) (++)

TankCarl,

Good looking Starship, always thought that the Shillelagh gun/missle was an interesting idea (too bad it sounds like it never worked right).

Keep up the good work!

Oh sorry, a big OINK for you (++)

Been there done that. M-60 A-1 Rise which eventually became the A-3 named the Bearded Clam (had a dum-dum CO that didn't pick up on that one hehe)
