This is a completely trivial question and it doesn't really matter, but I was wondering, is there a reason the Kitmaker clock runs precisely thirteen hours slow? Or at least, it does here. I've just posted something on 6 July at 11:41am BST and it went up as posted on 5 July at 10:41pm BST. Thirteen hours ... spooky.

Although I do now know how it is that so many contributors seem to be up all night contributing ...

Sounds like you've got your clock setting (I think it's located in the personal profile section) set toa different time zone than the U.K.
Go into your 'my account' / 'modify profile' / 'timezone'

Interestingly Charles' post registers on my screen as== "Posted: Monday, July 06, 2009 - 08:28 AM BST"....... yet my 'puter clock is set to the correct time and time zone where I live.

And this post came up as "Posted: Monday, July 06, 2009 - 04:57 PM BST"

Dave,
You've answered it yourself...... BST= Bull Sh*t Time! So why would it register correctly on any computer??

That's funny, I'm so use to military time---- we use it at work..... I got thrown off by the 04 57PM instead of 1657, and I'll be damned if I can figure out where the BST figures in, unless Britain went 1 hours behind my time over night!
It now says 0918, and it's 1018PM or 2218 local time.

The UK alters its time either the week before or the week after the US does, and I agree it is about time they left the damn clocks alone.

Interesting. My clock was already set to GMT, as I suspected, so the greatest possible displacement because of BST is an hour. So, what about the othert twelve? I've checked out the window and I'm pretty sure I'm not living in the Marshall Islands, more's the pity.

Looks like Grumpyoldman's clock is out by either eleven or thirteen hours as well.

I could only need this correcting to help me establish an alibi before the police came knocking, so it's really out of interest only ... honest!
