Hey everyone,
Wasn't sure where to post this but wanted to let you know my Dad passed away last night.
Dad was the person who got me started in modelling as a 8 year old, encouraging me to not worry about too much glue or if it was the wrong colour, just have fun and build !!!
He started me out building many of the aircraft he saw flying overhead as a Canadian Army infantry officer in North West Europe 1944-45.
When I found out the company he commanded had a platoon of Bren gun carriers, I was hooked on tracked and soft skin vehicles.
Dad was a wealth of information on vehicles, equipment and uniforms and always ready to answer any of my questions.
He was a good husband first to my Mum and later to my step-Mum.
He was the best father, grandfather and great grandfather our extended clan could wish for.
My family and I will miss him dearly.
Cheers Dad

Hi John, my condolances on the passing of your father. He will live on through his children such as yourself and his granchildren which is truly a great legacy to leave.

Sorry for your loss, John. I lost my father in 1999...veteran of US Army, Battle of the Bulge...corpsman. He gave me my first model airplane, and helped me build it. Like you, I will miss him always. God bless you and your family.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your family. Although it is the natural course of things, it is always difficult to lose a parent. My father passed in 1985 and I still miss him every day.
