Hi there everyone ive not built a model ship before and hope to make one soon, ive been looking at the JSC Cardboard models as they are reasonably priced and look very realistic. Has anyone else used these model kits before? The only other modern ship kits ive seen have been the deans marine boats and model slipway bit they are very expensive and need alot of skill. What are everyone else's thoughts? Thanks for looking

There is nothing wrong with building card models. Especially if they are in your price range. Just remember to go slowly and take the time to understand each step. There are plenty of sights that handle paper or card models, use them to help explain the intricacies of paper. One sight is the one from fiddlers green. Welcome to modelling!

After looking at the price as some pretty close to a plastic model would try one of those first.

My opinion only.

I would think all of the washes and weathering might take a toll on the paper.

But as the saying goes to each his own.

Good luck with it.
