Veni, Vidi, Vici....

Perhaps Ferguson should have looked more closely at the season we've just had?

As was every UK football fan outside of Surrey...

Sorry, equally in jest, honest.... but having listed to the game on the radio, Barcelona deserved the win. They played United completely off the field.

Messi, Henry & Eto'o - around 80 goals in domestic league

Messi - 9 Goals in Champions.

Barcelona - Less goals conceded

Iniesta & Xavi - best Midfield players in the World . Need I go on?

On the night Barca were definatly the better team. For the first 10 minutes, Utd showed what they can do, but the first goal deflated their whole night, and Xavi/Iniesta ruled the middle of the field, with Puyol showing the commitment a team captian should show. Statistically with possiession, passes, etc. the game was more even that what the final result appeared.

Much is being made of what a great team Barca are ... as they beat a well below-par Utd.
But has everybody already forgotten how lucky Barca were, to actually be there. Chelsea outclassed them in both legs of the semifinal ... and were robbed as they should have had at least one penalty. One lucky goal, 2 minutes into injury time took them there.
