I was at my local 'Michaels" art store and saw they had 'The Masters' brush soap from B&J, but after coming home I actually read what I bought, and its called Hand Soap.

Seems like a stupid question, but will this 'hand soap' work just like their brush cleaner and conditioner? The description makes no mention of brushes, does anyone know if they are basically the same exact product?

Jim--I use the brush cleaner and preserver, and it is a very good product (somebody on Amorama recommended it a while back). I don't know if the hand soap is the same or not, but it may be somewhat similar, but possibly lacking the additives to "preserve" brushes.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if it would condition the brush or not. I saw a coupon in the paper today, took back the hand soap and bought the right one this time.

Looks like it works good, got some colors out I haven't used in awhile. I thought I cleaned the brushes good enough before, guess not!
