Yes, has anyone seen this film, made in Italy in 1969?

Is it any good? (As in interesting, I know really it will not exactly be high quality).

I've seen a still with a guy in what looks like an M13/40 - is that for real?
Other stills seem to involve Chaffees which is a shame. . .

Opinions welcome though.

Thanks.

Well since nobody has chirped in... I have seen it and thought it was bad. Phoney as hell and inaccurate. If it is a cheap rental and you are bored then get it, but other than that leave it be.

IIRC, that's was an awful Italian movie with Michael "The Day the Earth Stood Still" Rennie playing Field Marshal Bernard Law Montgomery.

I have it on DVD from a multi video set on a couple of disks. I think I paid $5 and 4 movies come in the pack. Very bad, I think they use M113s to transport the troops. I'd send it you you, but you're in a different DVD region.

Somehow you haven't put me off, and in fact the review at the link John provided quite likes it! I came across it on this page and some of the stills look OK - including the M13/40: http://www.eccentric-cinema.com/cult_movies/battle_el_alamein.htm

It kind of sounds interesting because of it being from the Axis view point.

Sabot, I wouldn't want to put you to the expense of sending it over, although I am region free . . .

The postage to the UK is more than what the disks are worth.
