Hi all,
It is with deep sorrow that I write (at request of Kevin & Mary) to tell you of a great loss to Mary, Kevin, and families and friends: Mary has just lost her (18 year old and eldest) son in a tragic drowning accident.
Our hearts and prayers go out to Mary, Kevin, Joey, family and friends.
Deepest condolences,
Rudi & Tracey
(p.s. Kev/Mar, I do apologise if I've any of the details wrong)

Yes, Brad was 18 and the eldest. I know I got a call from Kevin about 10:30 or 10:45 Saturday night.... only got part of the message as the cell was breaking up. so I called back on the home phone.

I had the pleasure of meeting and hanging out with Mary, Kevin and Brad in Kansas City for the week of the 06 Nationals. As a 15 year old, I'm sure Brad wished he was someplace else and hanging with his own friends, rather than being around mom and a bunch of people she knew.... but he was great fun and a spark of life.
I remember our games of pool in the bar,
his adamant refusal to try something new (the artichoke jalapeno dip I ordered when we all went to dinner at Tomfooleries), his "escape attempt" to hang with people nearer to his own age- some of the fraternity members also staying at the hotel, his shy flirting with one of the waitresses, and his baseball cap- which he liked wearing at all times!
Love you guys, and if you need me you know I'm a text away.
