Well, yes an no. Personally speaking, I'm just at that point in my life where I realize that I've purchased more than I'll ever build, so not only am I cutting back, but cutting down the amount of unbuilts on my "Shelf-of-Doom".
Also, I'm making it a point to save more as well as charge less on the plastic for the plastic.
However, a friend of mine recently shared an article from the local paper stating that one of the major Hobby Stores was reporting an increase in sales. The believed it was due to the lay-offs and people now had more time on their hands to pursuit their interests.

Why yes it has. I'm buying up everyone else's stuff.
There was a similar thread a while back. The advice still holds true. The time to invest was on the downturn, especially about three weeks ago.
