I got it! I got it! I got it!
I have been reading about the cival war and have decided what I am gonna build next
A PRARIE SCHOONER Or to be precise a covered wagon
then I think I will build a stage coach then a chuck wagon
I have been working all day drawing up the plans for the wagon going by Images on the web and I think that I have it knocked
now all I have to do is to do it

Going for heart surgery in a week and I hope that I can get the covered wagon finished before I go under the knife again

Wagon Ho!!! Good luck on the heart op. Remember, the good die young, so you and I will probably live forever. Enjoy your build, laugh often, and just keep on. Will say a prayer.

Thanks for letting us know,
Matt

I have always been interested in old west and am a student of the war between the states
all the male members of my family during the war years was members of the confederate army and I can tell you by glancing through my book which soldier served in what detachment and if they were wounded or ded of their wounds and yep I can also tell you their rank

working on the covered wagon and its coming along nicely
the wheels arre next and they will be a pain in the UMPH but I can do it
send along a photo when I finish

it will be thesame scale as the cannon i built

My great grandfather fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy also. Not sure what the unit was, but I know that he was 15 years old at the time. He was originally from Texas, where he returned and lived for the rest of his life after the war.
