I'm an aircraft modeler who has never tried a sailing ship. I recently purchased an old (cheap) Airfix HMS Victory complete but without ratlines. There is a scale drawing showing how to trim them and I have some ideas on how to use this to scratchbuild some. However I suspect some of you may have done this and could save me some grief with what shoud be a simple problem. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Don't talk to me about naval tradition. It's nothing but rum, sodomy, and the lash.
