Hi Calvin, hopein you have a speedy recovery and get back to Armorama soon. All those new figures and kits will be waiting for you. I hope at least your team won the B-ball game. Best Wishes. milvehfan

Sorry to hear that, Calvin. Been there, done that, multiple times. Left while on a bicycle, right in a car accident , smashed the base of my right thumb in a motorcycle crash (I still have the pins that were needed during recovery) and broke the right again on snowy steps while working.

In some cases, I needed physical therapy afterwards. The last break was pretty serious and I have a permanent deformity as a result. As soon as I could hold a brush and nippers, I started working on painting again. This actually helped my recovery a lot. On my first visit, the PT asked how long I'd been doing therapy.

Anyway, as soon as you feel comfortable, start flexing your fingers, Make tight fists to maintain some residual streagth in your lower arm. If not, that will atrophy pretty quickly.

Taking care of myself and eating were very difficult the first time I broke my right wrist. Utensils didn't feel correct and a major part of personal hygiene had to be relearned, my left hand having never reached down there!

In any case, Ihope you're feeling better very soon.

Use a kniting needle to scratch where you can't reach.

I used a light acetate ruler to scratch.

Hey Calvin,
Ouch, I well remember what your going to go through !!
I broke my left arm in three places when I was a wee lad on the first day of Summer holidays.
My arm bent in the wrong place and I had to be in a cast from my knuckles to my armpit for 4 months.
No fiberglass or kevlar back then, this was when they only used heavy white plaster.
No swimming, no cycling, going fishing was near impossible, running was difficult........ NO FUN !!!!
How long are you expecting to be sidelined ?
Hope you get well soon !!
Cheers
