I still say if it wasn’t for all the military technicians / mechanics / repair personnel out there, all soldiers would be riding horses or walking and using very basic weapons to boot.

We fix it so the rest can break it!

I command a maintenance school. We train wheeled, tracked, power generation, engineer equipment mechanics as well as the wheeled and tracked recovery courses for the US Army. Our main body of students are military mechanics that are being cross trained to another specialty, i.e. train a light wheel mechanic to be an engineer vehicle mechanic or tank mechanic.

The big merger of various Army maintenance specialties will keep us busy for the next several years.

I've been working on the TOW and Dragon Missile systems for 12 years now. I also work on the TOW system on the Bradley.
