I decided to open this thread in order to present these old classics in a different or more formal way,much like if you were viewing a picture or even a shadowbox diorama.
Not all of the pictures will represent full-blown storyboard dioramas ,in fact most will be more like vignettes.I just thought that these beautiful old cars deserve to be shown as the works of art that they are.Cheers! John.

This is an all wood and brass 1/10th scale wooden model that I carved out of various species of wood and plywood.There are about ten different type woods including walnut,butternut and many exotic species.The plywood is mostly maple veneer.
The car is a Mercedes 500K roadster and was built from the chassis up from drawings
developed from the Pocher kit.My woodcarving background really came in handy when carving those beautiful fenders.
