Hi all,
Attended this model meet today, my first one - both IPMS S&S and Aussie model event (not counting the numerous trips to the various LHSs and MMM with Da Boyz )
All I can say is Wow! For a guy from South Africa was a tad like Aladdin's Cave. So many kits for sale, so many people in such a small space (literally wasn't too big), so many bargains to be had - and even more so if you're an aircraft modeller. I really did have to practice some restraint. Thank goodness I only took a certain amount of cash and that no one was taking credit cards!
What did I pick up though? LionRoar's R75 motorcycles (2 bikes in the kit), DML's Panzer I Early, and a Bandai Raiden Armour - all kits are 1/35. And only for $45 the lot!
I definitely recommend this model meet to all Victorian and visiting modellers - even if you're not specifically looking for something, you'll find something.
My thanks again to Brad for once again giving me a lift home Much obliged, mate!
