My wife's Wiccan priestess friend is married to a sailor down there, whom we visit every year or two. The short answer is "no," there are not.

Back in the day (1970's) There used to be one at Parkdale Plaza and a small hobby store about a mile away (toward the shore) called the "Craft hut" had kits. The old Gibson stores use to carry a large line of kits. Check the Malls for small outlets or closet sized craft stores. Often time they had old OOP kits. Of coures that was a long time ago. After hurricane Ceilia in 1970 most stores rebuilt and stayed. Thats when the old Revell 1/72 double kits were $1.00 @

Not much different than the DFW area - all the good shops are gone.
The best Corpus has that I know of is the Hobby Lobby near the mall, which carries pretty much the same stock in any Hobby Lobby across the country.

Thanks 18 Bravo and Stephen . At least they have a Hobby Lobby not the greatest but better then nothing . We have one here which carters more to the RC stuff then models . But they can order it in if their supplier carries it . One thing which I'm looking forward to is cheaper prices on kit's and easier to get .
