just wondering if anyone has any thoughts as to who's gonna win what tonight? personnally i'd like to see Mickey Rourke win best actor as recently watched the Wrestler and i thought it was a stunning performance also i think it would be in extremely bad taste if the Late Heath Ledger didn't pick up a posthumous best supporting actor for his role as the joker in the dark knight as it was by far his best role

I'd like to see Frank Langella get best actor for Frost/Nixon. He doesn't look like Nixon and his voice was a stretch, but by the end of the movie SWMBO and I both agreed he BECAME Richard Nixon without the usual caricature like posing. Muickey Rourke may do a great job at a fictional cahracter (I don't know, haven't seen The Wrestler )but he doesn't have to recreate someone you know.
We also saw Slumdog Milionaire and it's much more than the TV ads suggest, in fact it had some seriously intense and violent episodes.
As for Clint...he wasn't nominated.

Hi Al i can't see slumdog millionaire doing too well at the oscars mainly because it's a Brit flick and usually the academy votes in favor of it's own films although i'd be very suprised if it did win

Clint not nominated! surely not well i suppose there's no accounting for taste, i think for the guys age he really puts the work in to act and direct at 78 is no easy feat and for him not to be nominated and some nobody like Danny Boyle to be... well the academy has got some nerve
