Knowing this to be the best place to ask ...
I have a small compressor, (güde) which I use for AB work. However it is a dircet flow, and I have a few problems:
First the noise, OK it isnt noisey but beeing direct flow, the pump starts up the second you start the air brush.
The start up in the AB is a bit vicious, and can give the odd splater right at the start.
The constant start stop seems to create heat as half way through a large area, It packed up the other day So I had to stop and clean the AB befor thing stated to get stuck,
Any way to get to the point. What would be needed to convert a Direct flow into a tanked compressor. Oh and How to do it might be a nice idea.

A check valve, a tank, and tubing/ fittings.....

Compressor-----(Check Valve so flow goes toward the tank only >------- tank

you can use a Tee on the takn if it only has 1 hole. 2 would be preferred.

Check valve, understend that it is a one-way-valve, but can you elaberate,
Any links to suppliers would be well received.
And the right way to do it would be??? Compressor > check valve > tank > regulator > AB manifold/branch? Or am I way off!

you have it right.

I'd point you but the valve will depend on what you can get for tubing/fittings. you can get them threaded or that have compression type fittigns to go right inline with tubing.

I work for a ppluming supply warehouse, so pipes and fittings are the least of my problems.
I had thought of using compression fittings (ordinary water/heating type) with copper pipe, Or threaded fittins in A4 steel and stainless steel pipe.
Cheapest would be comp.fittings, but which would be best.
I have also considered an expansion tank of around 8 or so liters, for the tank.
So the bits I really need to find are the checkvalve and a new regulator (if I dont use the one that is on the compressor). A regulator, I can get hold of quite easy, its finding the right check valve thats teasing me a bit.

Both work and both hold pressure. We use both out in the test department for out test stups on large scale Compressors and other stuff. Tubing / compression fittings are easier no need for Unions in certain places.
