I had to chuckle today when leaving one of my local hobby stores in the city today.

I was looking for a photo-etch tool, nothing fancy like the Small Shop stuff, just the cheap and easy Tamiya PE pliers. As so happens when I can't see something on the shelf, I asked whether they stocked any PE tools.

I was referred to another store - because they don't stock esoteric stuff like that [PE tools]! LOL

I didn't realise PE was esoteric - I thought it had become mainstream... silly me!

So what funnies have come from the mouths' of staff in your LHS?

Having been one of those staffers I'll contribute a few of my faux pax's as I think of them

Hello Rudi, back in the 70's, when the Tamiya SAS Jeep first came out, I had built one and loaned it to my LHS to display in his window. This was during the time of the first gas crisis in the US of A., afraid of anti-Arab feelings resulting in a rock through his shop window, He placed a sign next to my Jeep proclaiming its occupants to be members of the British Army, despite their arab head-gear.
