I am trying to figure out what thickness of Brass sheet I need to make my own embossed details for a 1/35 scale tank. I was looking at either .005" or .010". What do you usually use and do you have any advice? Also what is a good thickness of brass rod for railing and storage racks?

Steve, I wouldn't recommend brass for making grab handles. I use copper wire and unfortunately, I don't remember what size it is. It's much easier to bend than brass. I just bought a spool of it at Micheal's craft store. You can also use scraps from phone lines or just about any electrical do-dad that doesn't work anymore.
