Hello, all. It's great to have a site dedicated to my favorite WW11 a/c. I am a fat, old, retired homicide cop that has been modeling since I was in grade school, but only seriously for about 5 years. My current project is a commission build of a large scale OH-6 for our local hobby shop owner. He did two tours in 'Nam and has the DFC with 26 clusters. He still won't tell me how many missions he flew. After his helicopter is built, I'll be able to get back onto my own project, which consists of over 30 P-47s ranging from the early "C"s and going through the "N"s. My goal is to make historically correct aircraft that saw combat in all theaters. So far my "to do" list is over 30, with 7 completed. I'm currently researching "Damon's Demon", flown by George Rarey, and "Angels' Playmate", a razorback that I saw on another modelling web site. Glad to be here.

Welcome - great background and great interests.
You'll find someone who likes those too. There is a dedicated P47 forum - check it out.
Check out all the other subsites on KitMaker. Fastest way around is the Switch Sites combo box at the top.
Don't forget that each subsite has its own group areas too: Campaigns, Features, forums, news and reviews. TONS of information in each of these. Check'em out for information and inspiration.
