Hello Everybody.
My name is Joe and I live in the Hudson Valley of New York State. I have just returned to modeling after a long absence. I am interested in Armor modeling only at the present time. I can't believe the prices for models in todays market. I used to be able to pick up a Monogram model for $5.00 to 6.00 Not now. I am interested in diaoramas also and have recently ordered Sheperd Paine's book. I am in the process of picking up needed supplies as I go along, if anybody has some good web sites please let me know. so long for now.

Welcome to KitMaker.
I grew up right outside Ithaca NY - sorry about the cold right now

KitMaker is a great place to be. Every genre of modeling is here and there are tons of great modelers and wonderful diorama builders. All are great and willing to help.

One thing to realize is that there are many sub-site on KitMaker. To get to them check out the "Switch Sites" combo box at the top of the page. Each of these sites has its own 'area'.
The forums are great places to get answers, another great resource is the features and review areas of each site. Check out the black menu bar across the site banner area.

Welcome! Have fun......

Hello Joe, if you are anywhere near the area around Poughkeepsie, you might want to check out the Hudson Valley Historical Miniatures Guild (HVHMG). I've been a member for several years and it is a great bunch of guys who don't take themselves too seriously. Their are guys who build anything and everything. We have a web site that lists all the info and has a gallery of members models. The club meets in Hopewell Junction, at the Library, first Wednesday of the month. The club also puts on a great show at the Poughkeepsie Elks Club in October. Al
