I'm sorry if some one has raised this before, :-)
ever open a kit to find the dreaded mesh that needs to be cut to shape!
and it just makes a mess when you cut it, well get some liquid glue and paint it on with a brush making sure you get the glue into the interwoven areas if the glue fills the holes in the mesh blow it clear leave it to harden for a bit then cut the shape out with a nice and sharp blade

cheers mike

That's a cool tip.

I've done it in a bit of a different order. I have been able to glue down the mesh first then cut the excess away. I realize that my way wont work all the time do to part fit problems.
Sounds like your way will work 100% of the time.

Great tip.

Another tip is to get a roll of double sided cellotape, the type with one side stickier than the other. Photocopy the template for the guard piece or make a template. The put the really sticky side of the cellotape down onto your template. On the other side stick the mesh. It is then easy to see the lines underneath of the template, and cut out the desired piece ...... right first time! This method also holds the mesh nicely in shape while you are cutting the rest!
Just thought Id throw this in as well!
