I do commission work. In fact I only do commission work now. Can't afford to build for pleasure any more. The fees I charge is based on how much the project requires scratch building. If it is a model kit that I assemble for someone I charge the cost of the kit and materials plus 40% for the labor and shipping cost. So I guess you could say that the customer pays for the material needed; paint, glue, etc, plus labor. I do not make a living from this, but it helps to keep me busy and building.
