If you've been to my website you'll already know I like to do unusual stuff. Anyone else like to do the unusual?

Yes, I've been working on again/off again on a 1/48 scale diorama of a platoon of US MBT70s. I have four of them, and need to get one more to round out a 1970s era tank platoon. They will be made up to look like they were deployed in Europe during a non-nuclear WW3, painted in a four color MERDC scheme. My what if platoon will be equipped with 3 MBT70s (armed with the 152mm Shillelagh) and 2 MBT70A1s (armed with 120mm main gun).

I've never thought to try something like that. Guess I'm not creative enough. I'll have to give it a whirl sometime!

You could try an M1 turrent on and M60A1 chassis. My brother sent drawings from General Dynamics for this project. I have plenty of M60 kits, but am short a psare M1 turret.

I like hypothetical armor modeling too - but I like to model vehicles that appear (perhaps) in the old Twilight 2000 role playing game...

i mounted a quad 50 onto a stuart tank,looks kind of neat.

Like Generalzod, I've been thinking about the Sherman/Pershing thing. But I envision mine as an Israeli Super-Duper Sherman with the French 105mm. Use an Academy Isherman as the base, with a DML turret and mantlet but keeping the Academy gun.

Another possibiliity is the prototype M18 90mm with the M36 turret. That one should be easy once the new Academy M36 comes out.
