Folks
One of my customers brought in several diecast and plastic replica cars that appear to be 1/12 scale or thereabouts. These are old kits that are EXACT replicas of the originals.... I beleive they are from a company in England, but I am not certain. These cars have lifters, valves, leather interior... even things like leather bound owner manuals in the glove box... and they cost thousands each. Any one know who the manufacturer might be? There is no company logo on the kits (because the originals didn't have any logos, right!?).... ok guys - sing out - I need an answer so I can look at some of the originals to make the correct fixes.
If you know the answer, email me directly.... this is a major restoration project, and I want to get the kits perfect!

Hey - Nice to see you Keith.
I have a link saved of a company that makes all kinds of 'real'/'functiona'l models that sound like these. The company I'm thinking of does all subjects, but the detail is spot on.
I don't know which PC the link is on, maybe the work PC so I'll have to RDC to it and search. I'll come back and post an update........

IIRC there was a custom car modeler of great talent and respect in the UK who either retired or passed on,not sure which. This was not more than 4 years ago. This might have been his scale I think. Pretty sure one auto went in the $70k range.......
Sorry I can't be of more help. It was on web news from my IP Comcast.
cheers!
Rick
