Thanks to all who had written up the Airbrush reviews of 3 company's products this month! Very informative and VERY EXCITING--I want one now!!

I always thought airbrushing was over my head (and i'm 6' 5" tall)
but now it looks like i am going to bite the bullet and get a quality airbrush.

There is nothing I can do with my Airfix 1/24 Bf109 until I buy one...it simply needs an airbrush to finish it up, the fuselage won't do with just regular brush painting.

My future tank projects will use the airbrush also. I understand that the best thing to do is get a good commercial air compressor and not some cheap version.

What air compressors work best with these listed brushes in the review?

Regards,

Tom M.

Tom, I'm really glad that review helped.

The compressor I used is one I picked up at Lowes or Walmart. It's about $100 it is a 2 gallon tank with a compressor. The compressor runs till it fills the tank then shuts off while the air is pulled out of the tank, then turns on again as needed. It's nice because it runs quiet most of the time.
When buying one make sure you have a regulator on it to control the air pressure. A moisture trap is a nice add on. It's not a requirement, you can help control the amount of condensation by using a longer air hose.

I use a mini airbrush compressor from Airbrush City . comes with every you need . My three airbrushes are from them as well . If you have never used a double action , start with a single action first . Some double action brushes can be set as a single action by turning a screw .
