Hi all,

Does anyone have any first hand experience of the following eBay Dealer? easy**model

I can see from his eBay feedback that it's 100%, but being a eBay newb I guess one can never be too careful...

TIA

Rudi (who is more scared of his wife finding out he got shalfed on eBay than of actually getting shafted )

Sorry I don't have experience with them. I don't buy from outside North America (shipping).
One thing I would do is read through the feedback. A positive that says 'great auction' is different from a positive that says 'product arrived'. People will post a positive feedback, with a neutral note in a way not get a retaliation negative. Look at the star ratings too, they have lower than 100% in that area.

My rule - don't bid what you're not willing to loose.

Hmmm.

A Hong Kong based ebayer.........bell rings
Registered only a short time.......bell rings louder
144 scale models sold 'no more box'..... sirens sound deafening racket, pedestrians make for nearest shelters...
and to top that off, he doesn't seem particularly cheap either.

I would look elsewhere Rudi.

Sellers can not leave retaliatory feedback anymore. Ebay changed the system. So you are starting to see more honest feedback from buyers. Sellers can more easily block bidders than before to reduce unpaid item problems.

More on that here ...

So is the 'Box Not Included' statement a possible hint to the fact this seller may be copying original models and selling pirated versions...am I getting that right?

Or........a legit reason would be to ship it 'bubble-pack' to reduce shipping costs.
e-mail some of the earlier buyers or check to see if they bought from him again.

Well while I have not used this seller from his feedback rating I would not be too worried to do so. He has 100% starting on 26 May 2008 with no Neutrals even, his average seller Score is 284.5 so from this I think he is an Honest businessman. If you use paypal I think you would have no worries with this seller.
Cheers HTH
