Here's what I did.

I captured one of our fellow modelers siggy pic and, in my own photoediting app, I made a new one in the perfect size.
I then uploaded it to my photo account, here at KitMaker. I noted the address of the picture.
Then, in your "edit profile" section, you will find the bar to add your signiture. using the image brackets ( [_img] [_/img] )take out the underscores and add the address of the picture in-between the image brackets and type it all into that bar. Hit "Submit" and that should add your pic to your signiture area.

Hope I've made it clear for ya.

i've tried this from webshots and from the photo section here without any success. i have copied the entire address from the bar, tried using just segments of it from both sites and more. the avatar i am trying to use has worked for me at every other forum so i am certain it is within size and file extension guidelines. am i missing something? (obviously!)

EDIT: i checked the image and it is 68 X 68 pixels and a .jpg file. that falls withing the size specified here.

this is the link from webshots and the image appears OK here but not in the avatar section.

image removed by me

i have tried it as it appears and with [_img] at the beginning and [_/img] at the end of the address less the underscores.

I'm glad it worked out Jim,
the more I tried, the more I screwed up the above post, trying to figure out where the mistake was, so I deleted it.
________> notice no special avatar for me!
actually the one I got is a pretty good resemblance.
