It has been a while since I built something due to moving to a new house and general havoc at work. Finally I got some time to set up shop in the basement and with 4 weeks of Christmas vacation coming up ther will be some serious building.
As for now I'm pretty happy with my new workspace, but I guess there will be some "Mk2 upgrades" when I start breaking in the new room. There are still some bits and pieces missing but in my book a hobby room is never really finished so there will definatly be modifications. However here are some pics:

Since I like wildlife I had to put in a carpet so the Carpetmonster have a place to live and breed...

Hey Erik,
Nice "bat cave"!

Did you specially tidy it for the pics to impress us? Or is it always this neat?

Love the LCD TV in the corner!

Oh hell yeah! Nice! The fact that you have windows is a one-up on me!
I also like all the "guest modeler" room on the far right of the bench. If I didn't have my N-Scale layout in my room, it would look very similar. Yours looks cozier, but, new. Very new....and clean.
I remember when mine was so clean...sniff.
Enjoy the cave, man!

Well... All my finished models are placed in several buildings at the army base where I work.

I finished the room five minutes before I took the pics so I have not had the time to make a mess yet. On the other hand I prefer a tidy hobby room. I guess it comes from allmost 20 years in the Army.

Thanks, but I guess we all know it will not stay like that for very long...

As for now all my refs are in a bookshelf upstairs, but in time the plan is to move them downstairs.

Where is your painting booth? I did see what looked like a regulator/water trap near the TV. I would be very careful about over spray particles being attracted to the screen,by static electricity.
Nice big work bench,though!

Eric, you certainly do have a clean and tidy workshop.to the envy of all of us. But i do'nt think you can give the military ALL the credit for your tidyness. I think it's the Norweigian heritage. You Norweigans are the cleanest and tidyest people ,I know ,I was married to one for 45 years. ( sure miss her). Are you near Haugesund ?
