On this day 1918, in the wake of the Kaiser's forced abdication, an armistice was signed ending the Great War of 1914-18.

Every year for the past 90 years, on the 11th of November, people all around the world stop for at least 1 minute to remember the sacrifices made by soldiers who fought for their country.

Do you spend:

-32,760 minutes per year eating.
-175,200 minutes per year sleeping.
-87,600 minutes per year on the computer.
...but only 1 minute per year remembering?

Regardless, please take some time today to remember those who have died in the World Wars, and later conflicts.

Lest We Forget.

i remeber a lot more than a minute,
at work , on remeberance sunday we were going to have a silence, but the moved it to tuesday,
i knew why, bit i asked anyway, ( plus i wanted a silence then aswell, hmm)
i was told, that the silence was going to be on the anniversary of d day instead,
i had many heart attacks at that moment, regardless
my heart goes out to those affected by wars, and to those killed by all wars, all around the world.

Your colleagues thought the anniversary of D-Day (as in the Normandy landings) fell on the 11th of November? That's shocking!
