I need some help with British Army Land Rover (Series II and III) colours as used in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Various sources quote "Green" or "Green and Black" but are not specific. (I currently have 3 1/35 scale LRs awaiting a paint job).

Colour mixes or matches to current model paint or sites where I could get this info would gratefully received.

Thanks

Maurice

Thanks Tony.

I've checked the site you gave me. Do you have any model colour matches for the NATO Green and desert Sand quoted?

Thanks again.

For a good source of british paint, try the Hannants company in the UK, they will give you close matches of colour to what you want.

If you require a gloss version of early land rovers Tamiya spray tin TS9 will do a close match.

Frank

Thanks for your help. Believe it or not I managed to get hold of a can of Tamiya TS9 this morning and have just tested it. It DOES seem a very good match for Army vehicles I remember from way back. I shall be trying it out on a model. Thanks again !
