Huh! nukes?! we don't even have a nuke power plant. That's the problem with our gov't they illegalized both nukes & nuke power plants. I just said a lot of nukes.

That's both good and bad. Good, because we will pay high if we carry one of those. Bad, we don't have a good weaponry

Why? Nukes are overkill weapons for a country like ours. Why need one? Are we going to put the SEA region, China or the world hostage? Does India, Pakistan, NoKor, PROC, Russia, and other nuke powers have nukes pointed at us? Nukes are useless weapons, really. You can't use them to smite the ASG or other rebel groups, they cost a lot to maintain, plus you can't use them for conventional defense - because if you do, you'll likely to get nuked, too. Mind you, I'm not anti-nuke not like those rabid tree-huggers or dolphin-kissers out there, but on a reality and practical POV, we don't need one. You want good weaponry? Get those cheap Russian planes, use Western avionics, proper funding to pay our soldiers... a good conventional armed forces is a good weapon to have. A nuke is just money wasted on an unproductive sinkhole.

A nuke is not only impractical, it is also a step backward towards peace and solidarity.

Money is better spent on more efficient conventional weapons

Yeah there is quite on impracticality on nuke missiles but nuke power plants would really help with our oil price problems.

On nuke plants, one would think that these are the currently best energy producers. But the fuel they need isn't all that common. Uranium is not a renewable source of energy. If we reprocess the spent uranium rods, turn it into plutonium, you get power plants that are potential nuclear bombs - which is why some Japanese are nervous about their plutonium plants. A very strong earthquake, coupled with a complete failure of safety systems, could result in a nuclear explosion.

I prefer wind power and geothermal energy for our country. Not enough, but it's a start.

Wind power will need a lots of it. Besides, if you prefer wind, you must station it in the mountain regions.

Which we have a lot of - both mountains and wind, that is.

Re: mountains, why, put them along the Sierra Madre, paint 'em green if you don't like to see 'em.

Re: wind, we gots typhoons, stretches where the wind is strong (like along the shorelines), politicians, and even us (if we could eat pink camote 5x a day, plus itlog-na-pula, dagdagan mo ng coke in can, ayos, utot tayo ng utot! Multiply that with our population - 70 million currently - now THAT is a lot of wind! Heck, we could also have a working biological [read: gas] weapons program! )

As daddy would say, "Sounds so crazy it might just work!"

Hahaha! That camote and coke might work!

Naalala ko kuya ko pag gumamit ng CR..CAUTION: Do not enter the CR right away after he just finished using it...Or risk being exposed to GAMMA RADIATION eminating from the toilet! May half life ito ng around 5 minutes..Kaya nga napilitan kaming bumili ng bathroom deodorizer...

Ututin ang mga Pinoy eh..So why don't we focus on Gas and Biological weapons development instead? #:-)

*BTW, Have you seen K-19 The Widowmaker? You know that scene where the crew try to repair the nuclear reactor w/o proper radiation suits? Ganon ang mangyayari sa inyo pagkalabas nyo...
