Hey boys!

Gusto ko lang malaman dito kung anong brands ng spray paints ginagamit niyo (EXCLUDING Gunzhe, Testors and Tamiya), colors available, magkano, ilang ml, at kung saan mabibili.

Post na kayo!

Forgot the brand pero Lacquer spray paint, white cans with a multi-colored fan logo. Baygon sized cans. Can be found at any respectable hardware

I actually tried the Flat White on my Tomcat and it didn't do anything bad. I did test it on scrap plastic first though #:-)

Yung iba ata like chrome and metallic nakakatunaw pero I'm not really sure. Yung ginamit ko dati "lacquer" ang nakalagay. Smells like hell pero di naman nakakatunaw.

hi .. can anybody tell me what are the price range of paints... Tamiya acrylic, Humbrol, Gunze ... i just want to compare the prices here.. i have tried using Model Color and Citadel paints(the one they use for wargames) pretty neat for figures.. STC carries Model Color the one in small plastic (eye-mo) bottles.. you got feedback ? i asked the guy in the hobby shop, and he told me that it's really sought after by figure modellers.. i tried it for drybrushing and it fairs well ..it's a water based paint. just like Vallejo Paints

Jeep: hehehe :-)

The exam was TERRIBLE. Everyone seemed to be aghast and distraught. AND I STUDIED HARD OKAY! But really it was damn difficult. Anyway, time to get some 'opium' (i.e. let's talk about The Hobby)

Re:Pylox, if you over do it, yeah, lacquer paints like that will melt the plastic. But if you 'prepare' your model first by putting a primer or a clear coat, or by 'dusting' (i.e. spraying a light coat of paint over the model from a distance, resulting to a dusty looking surface), the next coat of paint will not hurt the model.

Blitz: I think I got one bottle of Model Color or Vallejo acrylic paint. A flat brown. Haven't used it though. STC Alabang sells some of it. Thanks for your tip, I might try it out soon.

Prices prices prices...

Tamiya Acrylics (new bottles - small ones) = P65 or P85
Tamiya Acrylics (old bottles - large ones) = P100 at JMN last time I bought
Tamiya Enamels = P75 or P85 I think
Gunze Mr. Color = P85 IIRC at STC
Gunze Acrylic = P85 IIRC at STC
Humbrol enamels = Probably around P85, not sure (at JMN)
Model Master enamels = P75 or P85 IIRC, if not P100 (at JMN and Accurate Model Shop - in limited quantities and choice for both shops)
Revell Airbrush colors = P90 IIRC (at JMN)
Academy enamels = same as Tamiya enamels above (STC) BTW, I think that paint is $#1+
Vallejo (or Model Color?) = P85 IIRC at STC

Those are estimates. I can call the shops up tomorrow and ask for more precise figures.

thanks GI ..well don't worry 'bout ur exams ..i know u'll pass it with flying colors..
about paints well it's fairly the same price, it's just the goddamn 15%tax i have to add..another thing i like to add up is citadel colors(i saw a shop in greenhills before we left--usually sells Wargamers/Wargamers40,000 figures) they also have this inks .. usually use for washes.. just dilute it with water.. chestnut ink are usually use for washes in flesh tone...great stuff
