Held at the Royal Engineers Museum, Gillingham ( Kent, UK) over the weekend of 6/7 September.
View of the very impressive venue
the Medway Club have a super backdrop for their show - the museum's Harrier from the raised competition area walkway and a general view of the competition tables. Unfortunately the lighting inside the venue is best described as 'atmospheric'
Aeroscale stalwarts Lucky, Andy and Nige - the morning after the night before - some of Luciano's 144th gems on the display....
Darren (Daz) and our President Mal
Some of the competition winners
Nigel Julian's 56th FG P-47, class winner in 48th
and another of Nige's winners, this one in the smaller scale. Andy's Merkava was also a class winner - but not knowing exactly what a Merkava is (a target perhaps ?) I didn't take a pic ...(sorry ! ..at least we were there for the presentation Andy....)
Greg from Britmodeller won 32nd a/c with his Trump F-100
More stunning models on the competition tables
and best in show
Elsewhere on show - a stunning Pacific War display by Terry of the Medway club over two whole tables
Stuka dio in 24th
and a couple from the Britmodeller tables
..and Nigel's 56th FG display on the Kitmaker/Bulldogs stand..... rare 56th FG home movies showing on the DVD player drew a crowd..... great stuff ! -
