I love WWI aircraft. Years ago when i got back into modeling I bought a Copper State Models Gotha G.III. I had very little experience with resin kits and the first one i tried to build was sad at best. I didn't have the courage to try another one so sold off the resin kits i had including the Gotha. I always regretted it.
Recently I decided to try to find another. Happily i discovered that Copper States Models was still alive and well. I had a ball talking to Eric, the owner/operator about all things modeling and we resolved the world's problems twice over. I also received a Gotha G.III and a Pfalz DR.I kit a week later. I was really impressed with the selection of kits available. Really impressive was that he owned (recently sold) a working 1918 Spandau MG, pictures of which are on the web site under the Gallery section for those wanting to gander at the real thing.
I wanted to give him and his operation a shout out because these kind of people and the small operations they run are the salt of the earth in the modeling community. If you like WWI fliers, it's worth checking them out.

disclaimer: i'm not related to Eric nor have any affiliation with Copper States Models. i honestly get all tore up over WWI airplane models. i'm doing this to share a great site with those who also have an affection for these craft as well as to thank a place that treated me like family and provided world class products and service.
