Hello everybody,
Like quite a few of you I'm struggling a bit with my PE upgrades. Folding the PE I can manage, but I have the worst time in trying to assemble PE clamps and other parts where the one part has holes and the other little pins. I can't seem to fit the pins in the holes and then fold the part with the holes to close properly etc. I think you know what I mean. Does anybody have a few pointers for this frustrating job? I don't have an Etch Mate or any specific tool for bending or whatever. Merely looking for some tips for this one particular problem.
Thanks and greetings from Belgium,
John

John,
I know that Rick Lawler has done an instructional side bar on another site that is excellent.

Hi John, one way I do it is to use a very small amount of CA to tack glue the part to a piece of acrylic (glass, tile etc. would work), makes it a bit easier to attach the handles, etc. The assembled piece releases from the acrylic with just a bit of coaxing.

I undertook some action yesterday to make my life easier when working with PE. I bought a lamp with a magnifier and fluorescent light. I really helps when you can actually see what you are doing.
Thanks for the tips BTW. Glueing one of the parts to a tile had come up in my mind too. I'll try that one of the coming days.
Cheers,
John
