Hi Martin,
I think that you will have more chance of obtaining figures and vehicles in 1/35th scale as it is more popular these days in this area. However, I recall seeing some of the old Airfix Multipose figs at Model Railroad Specialists in Plumstead, CT some time ago. Though these are 1/32nd scale, they are not the grandest quality.
Cheers
Tony

Search e-Bay for 1/32 Monogram or Airfix for vehicles and troops in that scale. Italeri/Zvezda may have some older troop sets too. Newer 1/32 armor from New Ray or Forces of Valor but these are pre-built not kits.
Cheers!

Tony, thank you for the reply - I only want figures in 1:32 scale because I'm building a large diorama, I know 1:35 is more popular world wide (and in South Africa because I have checked all the top hobby shops in SA). I will have a look at the Airfix Multipose figs at Model Railroad Specialists in Plumstead, CT which you say are 1/32nd scale, I know they are not the grandest quality.
If there is anybody else out there looking for 1:32 scale figures I know where to import them from if you need details contact me. I suggest the best quality in 1:32 scale figures are Preiser, Andrea Miniatures and King and Country - Preiser is the least expensive...
If you require 1:32 scale vehicles/trucks etc in 1:32 scale you have to import from the USA as I did - but if you want to save $$$ contact me and I'll help you as you need to register on ebay and PayPal otherwise you can not use this route (I bid on ebay but you must know how to bid otherwise you are wasting your own time). My American friends in the USA gave me tips on bidding and I bought quite a number of brand new 1:32 scale items dirt cheap.
To all the 1:32 scale modellers out there - enjoy!

Thank you for the reply Rick., I did walk this route as you suggested and it is worth every second of my time.
What I did is to register on ebay and PayPal which was easy and hassle free - then I spoke to my USA colleagues at work and they taught me how to bid and what not to do - well I followed their advice and bought a whole lot of ebay figures, vehicles etc in 1:32 scale (all brand new) and had them shipped to Cape Town in South Africa - I had to pay a little import tax at our post office which was't so much and in the end I got what I wanted for a low price - I'm happy now and I have 2 more ebay shipments on their way to me as we speak.
As you mentioned in your message to me - I looked at Airfix and Monogram (not happy with them at all) - Forces of Valour and some other manufacturers are much better quality and after sales service.
