Hi Loh,

I have got one sparmax compressor as shown on the pic....quiet but the moisture drainage is not as good. After spraying for abt 45 min, water will be sprayed out together with the paint. I am still trying to find a way to modify if i can find one.....this is just my 2 cents worth...

Dear Erizemen and Vince,

I believe i may have the model number wrong , it is the higher range which has a reservoir tank package together. I have a similar model but of Taiwainese brand (with small reservoir built in) , it is cuts in and out quite frequently and loud. The moisture trap does not work very well just like Erizemen issue with water spraying out.
It works fine but then i prefer something that works well and less hassle, as i spray a few kits at a time.

I was thinking with a reservoir tank , it will solve the noise and moisture problem. There were only too types of model i have look at - Sparmax and Taiwanese brand (which i have) at the hobby shops. I do not know where the other brands are sold at.

Hence , i would like to check out from this forum if anyone can feedback back how good the sparmax is.

For your info , i came across the original FUTURE floor polish aryclic wax at HOME FIX , Marina Square , that is the only shop which has in stock , (two weeks ago). It works as what it is reported by modellers. Expensive though S$ 16.90 /bottle.

hi Bro,

The compressor i am using is the one in the pic, the air pressure goes directly to the air brush. The moisture trap could not remove the water fast enough therefore excess are being carry over to the air brush.
FYI i heard somebody are using very powerful air pump to spray their model. BTW what is the purpose for the "future" brand product.thanks in advance for the enlightenment.

Dear Vince,

Thanks for your info - have to avoid that model TC-501. The model i was looking at is AC-500S.
I have check with the hobby shop and tested it - i guess it is slight quieter than the current model i have but the tank has reserve for about 1 minute of air ouput.
According to shop , the moisture trap is in the tank but maybe need to search the internet to verify it. I always thought that the moisture filter must be connected outside to the output air hose.

For "Future" - there are many usage and at the moment i am trying it out on aircrafts.
It gives a very clear transparent coating on aircraft cockpit plastic plus protecting it from fogging from glue ( this was the reason why i was searching high n low for the Future , i have tendency to mess up the cockpit ). From what i read is that when you made a mistake on painting on cockpit cover plasitc, you can undo it.
Secondly, it can be use for clear gloss coating before applying decal and washing , preventing the paint coated.
Am now going to experiment to get the flat coating for the final layer with mixing of Tamiya X21 flat base cost.

There have been many discussion in this Armorama forum and the best link so far that gives a very detail of Future usage is

Hope you will find it use as it is for me.
