Was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the "part" brand of photo etch? I recently bought a set for a panther A and it is really nice. However, there is a beautiful finish on the parts that I think might not be conducive to soldering. It would be very difficult to remove the finish if that is the case but I prefer to solder instead of super glue. Any thoughts?
I usually don't have any problems with the normal flux, tin, place and attach method, but the solder just laughed at me although I was trying to solder a large part (rear stowage bin, absolutely beautiful!) and i think I need to experiment some more with the normal size stuff (microscopic!).
Thanks in advance for any help.

Perhaps you could supply some pictures so we have a better idea of the finish you are talking about, or do a review of the set for the site.

I've used Part for a 1/35 scale Kanonewagen and for several 1/72 scale kits. Very nice stuff, but I have never tried to solder it.
