I asked on TL if it would be ok to post this on the Big A, but never got a response so I guess that means I can do it.
For all modellers under the age of 18 there is a contest on Track-Link about to start on July 1, 2008.
Here is the website-
http://www.track-link.net
The banner for the contest is on the left on the main page, called Junier Modelling contest.
The details will be in the forum of the contest.

P.S. For the leaders of this website: Is there a way to post this on the main page so people can see it better. If you can it would be greatly appreciated!!

I hope I get some responses!!!!

thxs,
John

Ok I didnt no any of this so I am sorry. After a couple of users PM me I figured out the history of the BIG BANG. I guess I got stuck in the middle of all this uh. But for us teenagers with how many there are on this sight I thought it would be a good idea. I guess I was wrong!
Again I am sorry for lighting any fireworks.

John

Absolutely. We do need more competitions/ group builds for younger modelers though - so not a bad idea to remind us...

Hey Jonothan,

Mate, no need to apologise... it's antient history and water under the bridge.

Actually Kitmaker have had competitions exclusively for the younger members over the years (at least 2 I know of) where veteran modellers and members donated prizes.

As Jim said, it's good to be reminded of this every now and again. Perhaps it's time for us to start planning another.

We have one campaign running at the present at MSW, with a special "16 and under" grand prize for the best in the category (which, unfortunately, we have no young shipwrights signed up to the campaign to take a shot at it..yet!), the Military Small Craft Campaign...so all you younger modelers out there who are reading this, if you're interested, the campaign is running until October of '08, plenty of time to enlist and get busy!

Thanks to information I received this afternoon, it's nice to say that my earlier comments were in fact incorrect...
