I'm having difficulties with my hp-c plus. Air is flowing out but no paint. I believe that the nozzle is clogged and wanted to get advice on how to unclog. When I remove the nozzle, it shots out all the liquids but when I replace the nozzle, all I get is air.

Another symptom ...When I press the trigger, a burst of air comes out but I notice that the pressure diminishes to a weak stream. When I release the trigger, the pressure builds up again and when I press the trigger again, the same burst comes out and diminishes again.

Hermann,
Two questions -
1) What is your air source and what is your set PSI?
2) What kind of paint have you been shooting, acrylic or enamel?

sounds like dried paint is caked in your nozzle see if you can gently work it out from the back side I actually used some orange power stripper on mine and that soften it enough I could get it out My problem was that I did not get it clean enough the last time it was used and ....... oh well live and learn

Take the tip off and soak it in a little liquid cement containing MEK. Use a small glass bottle that can be sealed. Let it soak for about 5 minutes. Run a stiff wire such as piano wire or guitar wire through the nozzle tip. This should remove any dried paint.

Problem fixed. I let the nozzle soak in laquer thinner and added some to the paint cup. I let it settle for about 25-30 minutes. I started to spray moved the needle in and out. Little by little it started to expel chuncks of paint.

I've been only using tamiya acrylics and future.

You should take the airbrush from time to time and let the pieces soak in a windex bath. I have not had a problem with my Iwata in the passed year. Read the tip on this site a while back when considering what airbrush to buy.

Oh, just be extremely careful with the tip of the nozzle. It is very fragile.

Cheers,
Mike
